Our United Methodist Women do a lot of activities in the church and in the community. There are two different groups that meet during the month. The United Methodist Women usually meet for their Bible study the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm and are currently doing the Beth Moore - Esther study. This group meets in various locations, so please contact the church office for specific details if you are planning to attend:
214-363-4393. The other group is the Lap Robe group that meets on the first Wednesday of every month. The Metro District Annual Meeting gave special recognition for: Five Star Unit plus Two for 5 channels of Mission Giving, Mission Today Unit, Charter Club (Racial Justice), Reading Club Program - 2 members completed Plan 1.

Mission this year:

• Knitting, crocheting and making items for Methodist Hospital Auxiliary, for Welsey Rankin Auction and for Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital Action.
• Collecting and donating winter coats and toys for Welsey Rankin Community Center.
• Decorating cakes and participating in church-wide auction of these cakes to raise $854 for NO MORE MALARIA in Africa.
• Donating school supplies and backpacks for two 9th graders and one 4th grader at Wesley Rankin Back to School compaign.
• Donating food and clothing items to North Dallas Shared Ministries.
• Donating items for Bingo prizes for C.C. Young residents.
• Collecting Campbell labels and tops for education to donate to Bethlehem Center's School.
• Volunteering in class and assembling individual books for Preston Hollow Elementary School.
• Participating in Children's Ministry Mission Saturday where we assembled Health Kits for Brazil, learned and sand children's song in Portuguese and English.
• Helped sponsor and provide home for young woman minister from Russia for our congregation here in Dallas. Her name is Valusha Stavrova.
